Dinner attendees learn more about Alliance
projects while they enjoy a delicious meal and
an evening filled with African-flavored
entertainment at the Little America Hotel in Salt
Lake City, Utah.
Doors open at 5:30pm on Saturday, May 3, 2008.
Auction items include donations from local
companies, artists, and sports teams as well as
Malian artwork, sculpture, and cloth purchased
by the expeditions as they travel to Mali
throughout the year.

composer Kurt Bestor, and Malian Ambassador
Abdoulaye Diop for an inspiring celebration of
the Ouelessebougou-Utah Alliance's health,
education, and economic successes. For the
past twenty two years, the
Ouelessebougou-Utah Alliance has developed
partnerships with villages in the
Ouelessebougou region of Mali, West Africa.
These partnerships have enabled villages
ravaged by drought to achieve successful
"harvests" in agricultural, health, educational,
and economic sectors of villager life.
